We often receive requests from students wanting to use us as a character reference, and we are happy to accommodate these requests under the following circumstances;
- You will need to submit a request through the help desk for permission to use us as a reference.
- You will need to write up your own letter demonstrating the characteristics you demonstrate and activities you participated in at the dojo.
- If we agree that all the statements in the letter are accurate and true, we will sign off on it and send it back to you.
The exercise of writing your own referral letter is an important lesson in objectively viewing your own behavior, characteristics, and participation at the dojo. It is important to us that students know how to be introspective and self evaluate.
*For an instructor to take an hour out of their time to write a letter for you is possible, however you will need to book their time and pay their private lesson rates.
